Accessibility Statement

We want everyone who visits the Heritage Head Start website to feel welcome and find the experience rewarding.

What are we doing?

To help us make the Your School website a positive place for everyone, we've been using the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.0. These guidelines explain how to make web content more accessible for people with disabilities, and user friendly for everyone.

The guidelines have three levels of accessibility (A, AA and AAA). We’ve chosen Level AA as the target for the Your School website.

How are we doing?

We've worked hard on the Your School website and believe we've achieved our goal of Level AA accessibility. We monitor the website regularly to maintain this, but if you do find any problems, please get in touch.

Let us know what you think

If you enjoyed using the Heritage Head Start website, or if you had trouble with any part of it, please get in touch. We'd like to hear from you in any of the following ways:

Browser Compatibility

Finalsite websites should be compatible with the latest versions of most (if not all) modern browsers, including:

  • Mozilla Firefox*
  • Google Chrome*
  • Apple Safari*
  • Microsoft Edge*
  • Internet Explorer**

* These browsers are updated often, and incrementally. Our policy is to support the current version, as well as two previous releases. However, these browsers are also updated automatically, and it is recommended that the current version be used at all times.

** Support for Internet Explorer 9 and 10 in Finalsite ended on March 1, 2016. Microsoft ended support for Internet Explorer 9 and 10 on January 12, 2016, meaning they no longer fix issues specific to those version, including security issues. In addition, Internet Explorer 9 and 10 are not able to make use of many new navigational, mobile, media, and design technologies used in modern websites. Less than 2% of web traffic to all of Finalsite websites is via IE 9 or 10, so this should not affect your users very much.

Please note that all browsers interpret and display HTML and text formatting a little differently, so while your website content will display properly on these browsers, it will not necessarily display identically.  For example, the exact place that a line of text wraps around a picture, or the degree of indentation present in a bullet list, may vary from browser to browser.
